Orient Express took ownership of the El Encanto hotel, which was an iconic 1930-50s Hollywood hideaway, nestled in the hills of Santa Barbara to restore, update and bring into the 21st century. I lead a team of talented designers to bring the brand identity to life through modern touch-points and graphic language while paying homage to those past glory days. In addition, I partnered with some very talented creative directors to help tell the story of a re-imagined escape via multiple campaigns, including directing a photoshoot of the revamped property. Our goal through research and an understanding of the rich history was to develop a modern-day escape to serenity away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
